I would like to make my stand clear. Do you know about the recent rantings about my family on Facebook? I have decided.. I'm already 21. It is very clear where I stand in their heart. I'm not gonna give in but at the same time, I'm not gonna care. I WILL NOT blog anything regarding the hard feelings.

Lilian, Lydia, HuiQing, Jane, WeiYang, Vivien and me met at Ang Mo Kio Hub and headed towards S11 (beside Jubilee) for zi char! We ordered chicken wings, stingray, sotong, kang kong, sweet & sour pork and tou fu; including drinks, we spent less $8.60 each!

One budget way to order dishes, taught by Lilian, is to buy from economical rice stall! Pretty useful! Like yesterday, the zi char stall sells only bbq & seafood. We wanted tou fu and sweet & sour pork, so we bought tou fu at $3, sweet & sour pork at $4! Cheap!


Another good food I found in Teck Whye Market is...

Handmade Chicken Samosa at 60cents each!

Swing and I are really addicted to it! It is handmade by the Malay store at the coffeeshop near Teck Whye McDonalds. Since our first try of Samosa at the National Museum flea, Swing and I had been trying to find a really delicious Samosa without the peas! Some samosas had peas which were not fully cooked and it tasted awful!

This Chicken Samosa on the other hand is full of ingredients, the skin is very crispy! It sells so well, you constantly see the Malay ladies wrapping and cooking it. So many times I had been there, the Samosas were pipping hot!


Have you tried Long John Silvers recently?

Swing and I had Long John Silvers for lunch, really addicted to $4.50 Combo 2! The prawns with the Salsa cheese is super delicious!

But we realised that the fries are different now! The shape is not that rough and it taste different! Not sure how to describe though!


I received GLOW magazine from Watson yesterday. It is a surprise to me!

Yeah! This is gonna be handy! I'll just place it in my bag so I can use it anytime! Anyway. it removes makeup pretty well! I tried my first using the refill pack (since it is cheaper, haha) and I really liked it! For my Taiwan trip, I intend to get the travel pack but I can't seem to find at Watson and Guardian anymore..

Ending with 2 shots I took yesterday at Swing's house (: That is Swing's dog - a 3 year old Pompom and Shihtzu mix. It has the best features of both breeds - Pompom's fluffy-ness, Shihtzu's soft fur, Pompom's activeness, Shihtzu's family sweetmess.. Awwwww..

Fashion Bazaar @ West Coast Plaza + Travel Carnival + Food spam

Two Saturdays ago, Swing and I headed West Coast Plaza to be part of their Fashion Bazaar. It's a pretty new experience because we are not exactly serving its traffic where there is a smaller portion of our main target market. Overall, it is quite pleasant with the ample stall space and the convenience.

Last Tuesday, Rachel drove the Zhou Jia to have Rocher Tau Huey at Upper Thomson. I'm surprised it tasted so much better than their outlet at Selegie.

Rocher Tau Huey is different from my favourite 302 Tau Huey. 302 Tau Huey is smooth and delicate. Rocher Tau Huey is fluffy but it is still smooth. Other than soya products, they fry fritters dough and butterfly buns etc. I tried their fritters dough but it's kinda oily :S

Over this recent weekend...

I was doing part time with Lilian and Eldon at Travel Carnival! This is my 2nd event job with Five Stars Tours after NATAS Fair (:

To think about it, it is really tiring to work in a 3 day straight event! When I used to work in COMEX, I lost my voice because I'm a promoter. After NATAS and also Travel Carnival, my feet were slightly swollen and my throat became very very sore, heng I distribute flyers, usher and a couple of days at redemption counter - no selling at all.

    

To think of it, Five Stars is really a very credible travel agency. A lot of customers entrust their Malaysia trips to Five Stars! Lilian did for her previous trips (: Travelling to other parts of Malaysia. other than Johor Bahru; I mean Malacca, KL, Penang, Genting, you really need a good coach and a trust worthy travel agency.

Lilian treated Swing and I to Mr Teh Tarik's Iced Teh Tarik at 456 Jurong West St41! 

Next up, we went to near 490 Jurong West for Frog porridge! Previously when we headed there, the auntie said "No frog, No porridge" :( So this time, we ordered (*ahem..) one frog to $1 of porridge, claypot park and rice.

I didn't exactly take a photo of the frog, because I don't really eat them and I'm afraid it will gross you out! :D The porridge is really good! Soft yet rich in taste! $1 of porridge is around 3 small red bowls, quite worth it!

The claypot pork is the 2nd time we are eating it. It taste really good! The pork is cut into thin slices and the ginger enhanced the dish - Swing enjoyed it too (She hates ginger) ! One frog, one $1 porridge, $6 claypot pork and 1 bowl of rice for $14 (:

Lets Swing to "Dian Xiao Er" 店小二

Today is Swing's first day of school, so, yesterday Swing and I decided to go celebrate her last day of freedom before she studies hard for the next 3 years. Boring much, we headed to Lot One since it's nearer to our house and we woke up late morning.

I loved how Swing dressed yesterday with harem pants and wedges (:

We decided to catch "Johnny English Reborn" with the UOB promotion - $24 for 2 movie tickets, 2 regular drinks and 2 regular popcorns! (:

It is a totally awesome movie! Totally worth it for the actions and humour involved. Rowan Atkinson is indeed a born-comedian (:

Next, we headed on to walk around Lot One. Entering almost every store and we played the candy machine, Big SweetLand :D Yea, I know.. We spent wasted $20 on the Candy Machine and probably the accumulated amount is almost half a thousand. Well, we had seen others with $300 ++ card value just to play Big SweetLand in Causeway Point - Time Zone has the best Candies!

Then, we walked around every novelty store in search of new ideas for MyBlackTulip. We bought a Korilakuma luggage tag!

 

Feeling a little hungry, we decided to head to "Dian Xiao Er" 店小二 for dinner! Basically, "Dian Xiao Er" 店小二 is the most atas resturant in Lot One. But since, there are only 2 of us, we can't possibly order a whole duck but their "Shi Quan Kao Ya" 十全烤鸭 is so so delicious and it's not worth it to order just 十全烤鸭 and rice so we ordered their Family Set for 2 at $38 +++.

Motion Sickness

Recently I had complained feeling sick while catching 911 Recap on History Channel just last Sunday.

Day 1 (Sunday)
My stomach felt very uneasy as I watched the witnesses' camera taken clips on 911 incident. At first, I thought it was just me feeling hungry - watching that around 8+pm without having dinner. Then, I started to perspire.. badly. My whole body felt cold, my stomach was whirling and the perspiration kept flowing out.

I got slightly better after Swing and I headed down for dinner straight after I complained of the weird feeling. Swing suggested to me it was motion sickess.

Motion Sickness?

I recalled playing Arcade version of Fishing Joy few months back where Arcade still allows playing with coin tokens, I perspired really badly during the play and I couldn't understand how can playing an arcade game mke me feel sick. At that point of time, Swing and I thought it might be because I don't really play games often.

So we ignored that feeling since I was feeling better after eating.

Day 2 & 3 (Monday & Tuesday)
I still feel a little weird but I can't explain what was wrong.

Day 4 (Wednesday)
I headed down to Five Stars to collect my pay, after collecting while heading down to level 1, I felt nauseous  and that feeling is unbearable. Then, I received a call from Five Stars HR so I headed back up, asked for water and took some sweets to pop into my mouth, hoping I will feel better. I did not. Perspiration came again.

I called Swing who was at KKH for help and cabbed down to KKH immediately. Bad enough, a car accident happened infront of me, causing a traffic congestion at the pathetic turn beside People's Park Complex.

After 15mins, I reached KKH. I applied some medicated oil on my head and my hand so that I can sniff it.

Then.. I felt nauseousness again. It is for real. It's coming out..

I ran to the toilet, headed to close the door, held my breath. I told myself I don't want to stain my bag, I need to hang it. But I was too late, it came out and my bag was still on my shoulder! After the first "wave" I quickly hang my bag and continued the "waves". Damn terrible. Any of my close friends would know how much I hate to vomit. I really dread the smell and the process.

The Truth
After settling down, I googled on iPhone " cold sweat, giddy, vomit " and Motion Sickness came out. It is a wiki page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motion_sickness

Oh well, 4 days since I experienced the bad discomfort, to finally vomit.

And I learnt that..

Carsick-ness is a type of Motion Sickness!

Gosh! I had been complaining of feeling unwell whenever I board buses and taxis since I was 7 years old! My family members knew I always have to rest after long bus trips and get me some sour plums to chew on.

Day 6 (Friday)
Now I worried. Today is already Friday and I'm still feeling unwell. Why is it that after 14years of being motion-sick, I felt the longest discomfort now? Argh. I hate this feeling! Does anyone suffers from motion sickness also? Help!
