Motion Sickness

Recently I had complained feeling sick while catching 911 Recap on History Channel just last Sunday.

Day 1 (Sunday)
My stomach felt very uneasy as I watched the witnesses' camera taken clips on 911 incident. At first, I thought it was just me feeling hungry - watching that around 8+pm without having dinner. Then, I started to perspire.. badly. My whole body felt cold, my stomach was whirling and the perspiration kept flowing out.

I got slightly better after Swing and I headed down for dinner straight after I complained of the weird feeling. Swing suggested to me it was motion sickess.

Motion Sickness?

I recalled playing Arcade version of Fishing Joy few months back where Arcade still allows playing with coin tokens, I perspired really badly during the play and I couldn't understand how can playing an arcade game mke me feel sick. At that point of time, Swing and I thought it might be because I don't really play games often.

So we ignored that feeling since I was feeling better after eating.

Day 2 & 3 (Monday & Tuesday)
I still feel a little weird but I can't explain what was wrong.

Day 4 (Wednesday)
I headed down to Five Stars to collect my pay, after collecting while heading down to level 1, I felt nauseous  and that feeling is unbearable. Then, I received a call from Five Stars HR so I headed back up, asked for water and took some sweets to pop into my mouth, hoping I will feel better. I did not. Perspiration came again.

I called Swing who was at KKH for help and cabbed down to KKH immediately. Bad enough, a car accident happened infront of me, causing a traffic congestion at the pathetic turn beside People's Park Complex.

After 15mins, I reached KKH. I applied some medicated oil on my head and my hand so that I can sniff it.

Then.. I felt nauseousness again. It is for real. It's coming out..

I ran to the toilet, headed to close the door, held my breath. I told myself I don't want to stain my bag, I need to hang it. But I was too late, it came out and my bag was still on my shoulder! After the first "wave" I quickly hang my bag and continued the "waves". Damn terrible. Any of my close friends would know how much I hate to vomit. I really dread the smell and the process.

The Truth
After settling down, I googled on iPhone " cold sweat, giddy, vomit " and Motion Sickness came out. It is a wiki page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motion_sickness

Oh well, 4 days since I experienced the bad discomfort, to finally vomit.

And I learnt that..

Carsick-ness is a type of Motion Sickness!

Gosh! I had been complaining of feeling unwell whenever I board buses and taxis since I was 7 years old! My family members knew I always have to rest after long bus trips and get me some sour plums to chew on.

Day 6 (Friday)
Now I worried. Today is already Friday and I'm still feeling unwell. Why is it that after 14years of being motion-sick, I felt the longest discomfort now? Argh. I hate this feeling! Does anyone suffers from motion sickness also? Help!

Mid Autumnn '11

This is our very cute dog in Sheridin's luggage! :)

Celebrated Mid-Autumn Festival with Lilian, Jessica, Swing and Wei wen at Teck Whye Garden. Before that Lilian and I had a mini belated birthday celebration for Jessica! (: Had a small incident where the bubble soap water splashed into my eye, really really painful! :(

 After that, Lilian, Swing and I settled at Jurong for supper (: Gonna have photos up next time :D

Dinner that night with Swing, Wei Wen, Wei Ting, Ah Yi and cousin at Chomp Chomp. Just look at that sugar cane! Freaking $2.50 only! Super big cup!

Headed Serangoon for this awesome Durian Mousse actually. It's closed by the time we reached.

Luckily cousin was there for singing class and da tao for us. Heng ah!

Just that Monday, Sheridin had a flight to catch for a 2 weeks Panyu trip with school. I couldn't sleep the whole night, I don't know why -.- So I rest at bed till 3am and then bathed and started preparing. We left house around 5am, this lucky girl had the company of me, mum and Sheryl (my other sister).

Friends around me know how lazy I am in removing makeup at night.

Most of the time I don't remove at all and wash it off the next day.

I drink a lot of water thus I only go facial twice or thrice a year.

Having a pimple is not common for me..

It was a little pimple and it itch me the whole morning.

Infected ! YUCKS!

It revolved 2 days later. It didn't turn out better even after consuming Anti-Biotics prescribed by doctor. It became bigger and worse!

Notice how swollen my lips were?

PUS + OPEN WOUND!

My lips couldn't touch each other.

I couldn't smile and couldn't even speak properly and had to miss my weekend job :(

It was really hurting a lot and I had problems consuming food and water! So we headed Guardian to seek for some inspiration to heal it by ourselves. And I was lucky, it's getting so much better now!

This purple-ish doubtful-looking wound disinfectant is not-at-all painful!

It is really helpful when it helps to clear the pus in the wound!
The pus will stick onto the disinfectant on the cotton wool & I just wipe it away (:

Next, these Hansaplast Disinfection plasters are highly recommended! It comes in 2 sizes, around $3 only!

When I placed other plasters on to cover the wound, nothing will come out.

But when I placed this disinfection plaster, I see pus and blood on it although it hurts a little.

Because of constant cleaning of wound, replacing of plaster..

Look at how much my wound had become better?!

Again, I wiped the pus away with the wound disinfectant and..

Tadah! So much better. No more pus!

So happy it is healing so well. I think the Disinfection plasters are so awesome! Now the wound is open and raw. I still need to take really good care of it so that it would not leave any scars on me.. (:

Pulau Ubin 1-2September

Earlier this September, Swing, Lilian, Jessica and I headed to Pulau Ubin for a 2D1N stay at Celestia Resort after purchasing a $54 coupon from DEAL.com.sg

Basically, you pay $54 for the stay, plus $5 ferry ticket to and fro ($2.50 per trip) and a $6/7 van trip to the resort. To get to Changi Ferry terminal, take bus 109 which is quite a walk from Pasir Ris MRT. Changi Ferry Terminal is beside Changi Village where awesome $.350 Nasi Lemak and $4 Ayam Penyat is at.

Kampong life? All the "Ah-Ma Drink stalls" at some random corners of Ubin.

We all enjoyed the trip a lot. Just that we do not like the stay at Celestia Resort. I guess as "well-protected" Singaporeans we do not like the idea of the resort..

• Being opened to the public, no gates even at night

• 2.2km away from Pulau Ubin Jetty (25 minutes walk)

• Reception is very far from resort entrance and your room

• Your bicycles do not have a place to park (We lost 1 bicycle)

• Has a open-to-sea jetty in resort itself (Celestia Jetty)

• A lot of stray dogs starving or suffering from skin problems (they are obedient thou)

• Not much lighted lamp posts at night, pitch dark!

• Doors and windows with holes. ants and lizards in the room,

• Spoilt door knob, Window blinds that allow peeping

• Brown-ish water with lots of dead fish for snorkeling 

So the next time we visit Pulau Ubin, we are going to rent a bicycle near the Pulau Ubin Jetty and cycle around the island. No overnight, period. The "zi-cha" near the jetty, along the sea, has pretty good food with reasonable similar-to-Singapore prices. Hor fun at Celestia Resort cost $7 with lots of MSG and other side dishes cost above $10 each.

Pulau Ubin is pretty fun after all! (:

Love matters

Love is amazing.

It is the most un-properly and most difficult to define word in dictionary.

I feel constrained having to feel you all by myself. Love can't just be about just the two of us. I wished we could just run away and would I still have you all by myself?

There is so many things I want to do for you, many things I want to do with you, many things I wished u would do for me, many things I wished u would do with me..

Love can be simple

I want to experience my life with you, I want to enjoy myself when I have you, I want to feel like we are the only two, I want to cry because I ever had a fragment of memory with you so I want to love the way I had to love you..

Gone were the days love remains true, exciting, fun, faithful.. The power of sin and greed never fail to overwhelm human beings. Did love turned scary?

Like a candle, there is a fire.. But is there enough wax to burn it on?
