Going Malaysia w/o car + KTM train

Today Swing and I went into Malaysia without car, after an urge when we were changing SGD to RM at the money changer. So we took train to Kranji then took Bus 170 into Malaysia custom, walk through the KTM train terminal then to City Square.

Reached KTM Train terminal and we ate KFC! Sounds lame right -.- But Swing always don't have a chance to try the Original Chicken piece despite going into Malaysia so many times so I made her try it today!:)

When we reached City Square, around 30% of the mall was under renovation. We had decided to make the trip useful by catching a movie! Heard from Pamela that catching a movie in Malaysia is well cheaper then in Singapore. Hmm.. Movie tickets cost 10RM each, Combo Meal of Medium Popcorn (which was too much for us to finish!) and 2 Medium Pepsi for 10.5RM. So both of us spent 30.50RM which is less than SGD15! For the 2 of us!

On the way back, we saw KTM Train on the Causeway!

[Nuffnang Invite] John Carter Movie Preview in 3D

Special thanks to Nuffnang,I had a chance to go The Cathay Cineplex with Babysis to catch the preview of John Carter last Monday! Although it is a Disney film, I didn't carry much expectations (at first) because it is not an animation kind of movie, neither is it some princess-y movie.

Until..

I saw the tight security measures taken at The Cathay. We had to surrender ALL electronic devices (laptop, mobile phones, cameras) and before we entered the theatre, we had bag checks and body check. They were around 50 security personnel present. 

As we entered theatre, the Cathay staff passed us 3D glasses. I didn't know it is a 3D movie and it is my first experience watching 3D. I think paying more to enjoy a 3D film and considering that I suffer from motion sickness, I had fear as I anticipated the movie.

They showed some movie trailers which are also 3D, Men in Black 3 and The Avengers, and I thought, the 3D effects were kinda interesting! It was a big big relief for me to enjoy John Carter now!

This is indeed a Disney-standard movie! The content is very unexpected! Babysis enjoyed as well! But maybe the absence of mobile phones allowed us to concentrate on the movie better :x

My Valentine Date

Valentine's Day 2012 is a very important date for us.

For almost four years together, we have never had a actual Valentine Day or any anniversary celebration. During these celebrations, we end up with bickering and unhappiness. So for this Valentine's Day, we told ourselves to keep it really simple :)

Bought a Valentine cake from Four Leaf for $13.80:


Then we bought movie tickets to catch We not Naughty at Lot One:

My rating: 4 out of 5 stars!

The storyline as usual relates very much to typical Singaporean students' encounter just that the ending is always uncomplete like it is concluded in a rush :/ I'm pretty impressed that they managed to star so many singers in this movie :)

After movie, it is dinner's time and we headed Food Junction for Yoshinoya. We order upsized bowl with hotspring egg :) $6.70 each with desserts and side dish - check them out!
