2013 - Mount Faber + Punggol Point Park + Changi Village Food Centre

Even till 10.30pm of 31st December 2012, my mum, Sheryl, Swing and I were still clueless of where to go for countdown. We set off at 11.15pm and decided to head Mount Faber, hoping to catch glimpses of fireworks from Vivo City and Sentosa. Luckily, we were stuck at the slope down from The Jewel Box (around the peak of Mount Faber) and managed to capture the magnificent view of the 1 minute long fireworks~!

The next day, we woke up pretty late so our New Year Day's activity started around 3pm where Swing's family and I headed to Punggol Point Park (our intended venue was Hort Park). I didn't regret heading here! The sea breeze is amazing!

There are public toilets, wash area, lotus pond, jetty and lots of sitting areas! Watch the planes and eagles soar in the huge piece of the sky!

Overlooking Malaysia again!

Small jetty with lots of fishing going on

In the evening, we set off to Changi Village as we happened to google that Changi Village has resumed its operation on the 1st day of 2013! There were lots of queues at the various Nasi Lemak stores and I was queuing at the one with the longest queue.

While I was queuing, I saw many finished plates of Nasi Lemak and had this strong feeling I was queuing at the "wrong"stall. Then, I heard a passerby saying that the store I was queuing for, was just lucky they got the first stall. I knew it was the wrong store!

Thank God for smartphone! I googled for the correct store and ta-dah!

After I joined this queue, the lady behind me verified that this is the correct famous Nasi Lemak store because her sister works in Changi Village. They shifted the store location to the outer row of food stalls. They are selling each plate at $3.50 and my waiting time was around 70minutes.

It was a long tiring day but at the same time, it is a rather different way to kickstart my year :)

Happy New Year, everyone!

DUCKtours

Previously, Swing's father caught a $38 deal which consists of a Singapore flyer ticket, a Ducktour ticket and a $10 Popeyes voucher. We were so excited, bought it and head off to Singapore flyer.

And then we realised that you have to pre-book for Ducktour :/

So, we decided to book to go on 30th December! So excited!

All the safety equipments:

Happened to see a Malay wedding going on:

Okay, starting with the ride! Wee~!

The photos from here onwards are taken using iPhone 5 because of the stability and the clarity as compared to a digital camera. The picture quality is really good!

The other DUCKtour on the road:

"Are we ready to go onto water?"

Going down!

Floating balls!

Going back to shore now!

Never caught the same deal again but this is a really worthwhile deal because just the DUCKtour ride is more than $30 already. Not to forget, Singapore flyer and $10 popeyes voucher! Counting down!

Check this out!
