Dessert Bowl @ Serangoon Garden

Where to go.. but not too late at night?
.
.
.
.
.
.
.

Just around Chomp Chomp! If you drove from Boundary Rd, reach the round about, turn into the 2nd road from left and on your right, at the second level, you will see..

This is dessert shop introduced by my cousin who comes here every weekend after his singing class nearby. That night, my cousin, my aunt, Swing and I were visiting my hospitalised granny and we chat all the way from mid afternoon to 10pm! My aunt was hungry for KFC so we headed to Kallang KFC which closes at 2 am :D After that, my cousin kept tempting us for some great desserts, especially the durain moussee at Serangoon! I had to admit, it is really good!

You will be surpised by the Hong Kong-concept !
I didn't managed to take a lot of photos because I didn't bring my camera out. I took all these with iPhone and while I was snapped one of the photos, the flash automatically went off. Lots of people were looking at me :(

Usually Swing and I would eat the Mango Pomelo instead, priced at $4.50, which is the 2nd top seller. But that day we decided to try Mango Ice for $4. It is totally filled with MANGOS CUBES! There's one scoop of ice cream, blended ice, mango syrup and coconut sugar! The coconut sugar make this dessert taste so special!

This is the lead in this shop. From downstairs, you open the door and durain is all you can smell! I have no idea how they did the mousse! Just the mousse itself, it already taste like you are eating durain meat! The scoop of real durain meat is there to add the texture of it. $5 but it is really really gooooood!

I know I'll go back again and I'll be back to snap more photos! :)
Thanks for reading!

Ad - White Bidet

Oh yes, I know this is really awkward to be blogging about the bidet I use at home. But I decided to do so since I had been using it for almost 2 years. It is really beneficial to my family and I can't wait to share how useful it is!

*PS Don't worry, I won't snap photos of me using the bidet :D

I am someone who washes up often after a toilet visit. Because I believe using toilet paper to wipe after peeing, shitting or cleaning up during my periods, can't never be cleaner than washing it. It is gonna be really troublesome to strip and wash up with shower heads.

But since 2 years ago, this problem was solved because of bidet..

This is the bidet I am using! White Bidet from South Korea!

Many friends who came to my house and used my toilet bowls (both master bedroom and kitchen toilet had it installed) before would have asked about it.

What is a bidet?
A bidet is a device that directs a gentle stream of water to clean the genital and rectal areas. There is no need to use toilet paper. Bidets are used throughout the world by people of all ages who prefer improved hygiene in these areas.

Yes I totally agree! My dad first used bidet when he was having a hard time shitting in Malaysia - lots of toilets in Malaysia uses bidet instead of toilet paper. He totally enjoyed the cleaning up process and insist on getting it installed back to Singapore.

Why should you install THIS bidet?

  • No need to change the whole toilet bowl - Free installation on your existing toilet bowl!
  • For girls, during your period, it is the easiest way to clean up!  No more painful wiping!
  • Use it after you pee or shit - it really cleans up! Just use small amount of toilet paper wipe it dry .
  • Great testimonials of relieving pain from piles, constipation and diarrhoea
  • Non-electrical bidet, easy to use!
  • Water pressure is adjustable - no BIG splash of water!
  • I had been using this for almost 2 years & I really recommend this!

My parents bought it at $220 each with free installation and 1 year warranty. But right now, it is selling at:

$220 each

TWO years warranty

TAIWAN DAY 5 ♥

♥ Asia Pacific Hotel @ Dan Shui 淡水

Weee! Guan Yin Shan! Looked wonderful right!!

This is that FamilyMart that was our most patronised store during this 5 days.

Packing and making sure nothing was left behind..

♥ Dan Shui River 淡水河

Another breath taking scene.. With perfect view of Guan Yin Shan.. Enjoy!

This is the man that brought education to Taiwanese girls and spread the word of Gospel to Taipei.

This is his hospital, the first in Dan Sui.

♥ Dan Shui Old Street 淡水老街

This is where I did all my last minute local product shopping. And Dan Shui is famous for Ah Po Tie Dan (Granny's Iron Egg) 阿婆铁蛋 and both Eldon and I bought 10 packets? The stall owner gave us one more packet :D One packet of 阿婆铁蛋 cost NT100 which is around SGD5.

It is a good place to shop for local products and there is wet and dry market, some fashion boutiques, traditional toy shops and lots of food product stalls.

Only 1 photo taken because I was rushing like mad to do last minute shopping because I had NT6000 (around SGD300) left!

♥ Tao Yuan International Airport

Last minute stuffing of all my food stuff into my luggage and hand carry. My luggage is like 24.6kg?! And my hand carry luggage only contained Tai Yang Biscuits, Haha (:

♥ Home Sweet Home

On the way back, at the duty free shop, I used the remaining NT money to buy this 2 Longchamp lovelies! (: NT1100 each, which is around SGD50 each. If pay with SGD, it is only SGD44. We googled and saw it retailing at Longchamp website for USD42 each so I bought it right before we board the plane back. It matches the Longchamp bag from Swing right? (:

What's sad is that they do not have Longchamp paper bag :( Only the duty free shop paper bag, so ugly I don't wanna take.

Bought this Rilakkuma stuff at Xi Men Ding! (:
A set of Rilakkuma & Korilakkuma (behind) at NT150 which is around SGD7.
There were a lot to choose from but I chose the most simple set (:

Rilakkuma and Korilakkuma head at NT90 each which is around SGD4.20.
My Korilakkuma is actually a small bag (:

This is what I did for Swing and I. Not forgetting a turquoise one I bought for Si Ming as well (: Look at that tulip at the back of our names (:

Things to note when going Taiwan:
1. There is no Money Changer in Taiwan. You can only exchange with banks.
2. I believe the rates in Taiwan are better!
Ref: Weekday in Singapore, SGD1=NT22.7 Weekday in Taiwan, SGD1=NT23
3. Toilets are known as 化妆室
4. Their rice are Japanese pearl rice, the sticky kind.
5. Their food stalls at Night markets are must try.
6. Avoid shops that have no price shown because they name their own price.
7. Bring a camera with you - Taiwan is beautiful!

TAIWAN DAY 4 ♥

♥ Asia Pacific Hotel @ Dan Shui 淡水

Woke up to breakfast again (:

♥ Taipei World Trade Center Nangang Exhibition Hall

This is like Singapore's Expo - they have a MRT station just for it too! The exhibition hall is huge and holds lots of mega and international events. They are in the midst of building another exhibition hall across the road with a linkage bridge (:

Wifi all around this building! (:

♥ Five Dime Restaurant  伍角船板

We missed out  previous lunch in order to enjoy this meal. This restaurant is recommended by our teachers and when I reached, I realised it is often featured on TV shows! A very interesting place to dine!

Lady Boss is an abstract artist and every bits of this building is her creation! She has restaurants all over Taiwan: http://www.five-dime.com.tw/html/homepage.htm

Sweet Potato Rice

Steam Fish

Pork

Salad

Lean Pork

Vegetables Soup

Spice? Didn't really eat this because it is spicy. If not, it should be tasty.

Haha, we kept guessing what this is because it tastes really good!
Century egg? chicken butt? Intestines?

NO!

It's mushrooms!

Pork

Cabbage (Taiwanese really love eating this!)

Very very sweet honey pineapple! (:

Very soft mochi ~.~

♥ SOGO Corporate Visit

SOGO is like Singapore's OG and Metro. A very established departmental store. They bought us to their higher end SOGO where it's all branded goods and we are given 2 hours to shop.

So Vivien brought Miaoling, Lilian and I to the other SOGO departmental store(:

♥ Jiu Fen 九份

This place is heavenly! The roadtrip was so thrilling to me! It is on high lands and everyone was sleeping during the 1.5hours journey while I was videoing the roadtrip down. Then I saw turns and turns until I couldn't take it and woke Eldon up. I couldn't explain the thrill-ness but I would love to go again!

Lots of ready food items and their local products or other sold items are slightly more expensive compared to city.

Note: Jiu Fen rains during October to April maybe because it is on highlands.

Look at how freaking high we are!

♥ Xi Men Ding 西门町

At night we headed back to Xi Men Ding since many of us complained that they didn't see/shop much in the earlier trip. Indeed, the night Xi Men Ding is much more happening!
This is Lilian with the STAGE shop, ready to go in and get that Manhattan bag!

♥ Asia Pacific Hotel @ Dan Shui 淡水

Back to the hotel, it is time to pack our bag. Typically, we took out all our loots, arranged and laid them out nicely. Snapped photos and packed it into our luggages (:
Mine (:

Lilian's

Both of us!
