Are you sick and tired of Singapore's Pasar Malam(Night Market)? I am!
Last night, Swing's family had an impromptu trip to Johor for their weekly Tuesday night market! I told myself I must tag along so I would be exposed to various night markets of different countries! Can't wait to try Bangkok's!
Why?
Pasar Malam in Singapore have so many repetitive stores and it is always so boring!
Where?
Set your GPS to Pelangi Leisure Mall (5 to 10 minutes drive from Malaysia Custom) and park your vehicle there; free parking but do not park under shady trees because all the birds shit will faint you. While facing the mall, walk towards your right and cross the road. Then, appear in front of the shop below:
See the passage way on the left? Walk through it and you will see a whole stretch of tentage :)
These are the interesting things that you will find in this night market:
Lots of fishmongers selling all kinds of fish!
Spices, Onion, Ikan Bilis, Potato..
Accessories like eye wear, nail polish..
Dim Sum stall!
Huge Chicken Bun!
Many other types of dim sum!
Small dishes like those you see in economic rice stalls
Kueh, pastry..
Malaysian style Fried Carrot Cake
with taste of black and braised sauce
Laksa and Chendol!
Milk Tea in 500ml and 700ml!
Ordered Milk Tea and there's a strong taste of cream :)
"Shake shake"
Pet Fish
Tried some dishes at the hawker centre:
Yummy Claypot Rice!
Blended Mango Ice
This is just a small portion of their huge plate of Stingray
RM23; which is around SGD10
Look like how thick the stingray is!
This is my first time at a Malaysia night market, hope to snap better pictures and explore more night markets! :)
Xoxo
